Event Description

Families with children ages 4 - 11 are invited to join Lex Horwitz for an interactive program including discussion and hands-on activities celebrating LGBTQIA+ families and individuals in a playful and fun way. The program is intended for families made up of all types of people, LGBTQIA+ or not! All are welcome, as we learn to live as our authentic selves and find appreciation for the beauty of the intersection of identities and experiences.

About Lex

Lex Horwitz is an LGBTQIA+ Educator, Consultant, and Public Speaker. Lex specializes in creating engaging, affirming programs that center inclusion, affirmation, and belonging – with a focus on LGBTQIA+ identities, advocacy, and community-building. He has worked with The School District of Philadelphia, The Human Rights Campaign, The Institute of Contemporary Art at The University of Pennsylvania, Temple Health, and other community partners ranging from PreK through High School students, educators, families, workplaces, health and medical institutions, higher education, businesses, and nonprofits. He offers developmentally appropriate workshops, story hours, facilitated discussions, and educational presentations, and his work focuses on fostering belonging, encouraging dialogue, and supporting young people and adults in living authentically and compassionately.
