Event Description
During his keynote address, 'Life as a Transgender Athlete with Lex Horwitz', Lex shared his personal journey of coming to his queer and trans identities while at Bowdoin College competing on the squash team, and the challenges and triumphs of what it was like to switch from the Women's to the Men's Team. Lex left participants with advocacy tools and strategies for folks to implement in their daily lives on how to intentionally cultivate spaces of affirmation so that queer, non-binary and trans folks feel a sense of belonging in athletics and beyond.
