Pride Week at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs

Lex is joining The University of Colorado Colorado Springs for a full day of programming, ending with his keynote, on Monday, April 20th.

Pride Week Theme: Queer Solidarity

For this year's Pride Week, the theme will be Queer Solidarity. Focused on the present and the current political climate affecting the rights and quality of life for queer communities across the U.S. and beyond, this theme encourages workshops and events focused on resources, tools, and skills that help build survival acclimate. At the same time, this is also a time where survival and the celebration of free love and expression is dependent on our sense of community and allyship: how can we be strong and 'cultivate our village' in a time of unease and hostility; how can we be good allies and advocates for our neighbors? Queer Solidarity is more than just addressing the present climate of LGBTQ+ rights and life---it is how to continue thriving in our communities against those present odds. Because survival and, ultimately, thriving in our identities is another form of resistance.
