Euphoria: Take on the Water

Presented by Outplay: Join me as I talk about how we can make our time at the beach, pond, pool, creek--any body of water--a euphoric experience, versus an experience that is defined by dysphoria. So welcome to Euphoria--Take on the Water!

🖤 How we can feel affirmed, confident, and authentic when we are put in situations or circumstances that make us feel either hypervisible, or invisible, due to our trans bodies

🖤 Tips/Tricks to feel euphoric and confident when placed in situations that threaten our authenticity Before having top surgery and before taking T, the world made wrongful assumptions about my gender identity based on my physical body (which is NOT gender, rather, that is sex assigned at birth). When at the beach with my cisgender family members, I noticed that they weren't even contemplating, concerned, or distressed when choosing their bathing suit, their cover, or how they'd even apply their sunblock--which were all things that I thought about and caused me distress. As trans folks, we are constantly making decisions about how to show our bodies in public spaces, keeping both our safety and our authenticity in mind. The clothes we choose, how we wear them, and how we navigate physical space are all things that trans people must consciously address as beautifully expansive souls living in a restrictive cishet world.

🖤 Tip 1: Listen to Yourself

🖤 Tip 2: Only YOU can define YOU

🖤 Tip 3: We Are Our Own Best Advocate (Be Your Own Best Friend)
